print design for nonprofit
NOLS is a nonprofit global wilderness school that seeks to help people step forward boldly as leaders.
Within the school’s pillars, there is great need for print and web material used for fundraising, marketing, admissions, course curriculum, sharing stories, etc. I’ve had the privilege of working start-to-finish on a range of print projects for the school from March 2019-January 2020.
The Risk Services department requested an original document delivering risk management concepts in a concise, approachable format; an equivalent of the pocket guide previously created for NOLS Wilderness Medicine.
The pocket guides are handed out as course material on REI partnered classes, as well as sold at the NOLS Store.
The retail coordinator of purchasing at NOLS wanted to provide more compelling hat options in their store. I was given the task of coming up with a handful of concepts. Working directly with client, vendor and supplier, together we chose 3 designs for production that were felt to accurately represent the community.
